MDCalc is seeking dedicated and skilled part-time clinicians to join our team. As a clinical social media manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute in various areas, and we are open to candidates with a mix of skills.

As the Social Media Lead, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing social media strategies to enhance MDCalc's online presence within the medical community.

Responsibilities could include -

  • Content Creation and Curation:
    • Develop engaging and relevant content for MDCalc's social media platforms.
    • Curate and share content from authoritative sources in the medical field to keep our audience informed and engaged.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Foster and maintain relationships with key influencers, healthcare professionals, and MedEd communities across various social media channels.
    • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms to build a positive and interactive online community.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Plan and execute social media campaigns to promote MDCalc's products, features, and educational resources.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align social media efforts with broader marketing strategies.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
    • Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay Abreast of Trends:
    • Keep up-to-date with social media trends, algorithm changes, and advancements in the MedEd space to ensure MDCalc remains at the forefront of online engagement.

Requirements:

  • Medical professional (MD, DO, Pharmacist, PA, NP, RN) with at least 5 years of practice (including residency).
  • Proficiency in and passion for evidence based medicine.
  • Past publication experience (we’ll consider a lot - we want to see initiative, ability to drive forward and own projects, and interest in academic medicine)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a focus on medical content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in medical content creation and review.
  • Established network within the medical community.
  • Previous involvement with medical societies or associations.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and strategies.
